Training and experience
India has a limited number of merit-based super-specialty fertility training programs. Among the most rigorous is the FnB in Reproductive Medicine, which involves competitive national selection, structured training, and strict outcome-based evaluation. This is very different from short-term or paid certification courses that do not offer the same depth of clinical exposure.
Most infertility specialists in practice today have an average of three to five years of experience after specialty training. Greater experience often translates into better judgment in complex, failed, or borderline cases where protocols need individualization.
Ethical decision-making
A key question to ask is whether the doctor pushes every couple toward IVF or carefully evaluates whether simpler treatments may work first. The best IVF doctors explain:
- The underlying cause of infertility
- All available treatment options
- Why IVF is or is not recommended in a specific case
IVF should be offered when medically indicated, not as a default solution.
Communication and transparency
Patient reviews can offer valuable insight into whether a doctor:
- Listens patiently and explains conditions clearly
- Provides copies of scan reports, lab results, and procedure records
- Is transparent about treatment plans, costs, and outcomes
Transparency and communication are hallmarks of high-quality fertility care.
How Kalpa Clinic is different
Kalpa Clinic follows a doctor-led, evidence-based approach to fertility care that prioritizes clarity and patient trust.
Dr. Chaitra Nayak is formally trained through one of India’s top merit-based reproductive medicine programs and brings years of focused experience in managing infertility and IVF cycles. At Kalpa Clinic:
- Every couple receives a detailed evaluation before IVF is advised
- Treatment options are clearly explained, including alternatives to IVF when appropriate
- Patients are given full access to reports, scans, and records
- IVF planning and decisions remain doctor-driven rather than protocol-driven
Dr. Chaitra does not believe in one-size-fits-all fertility care. The emphasis is on right treatment, right time, and right reasons.
